Tim is passionate about the likeness of Jesus Christ being formed in God’s people to the extent that His likeness is demonstrated daily on the playing field of life. He is convinced followers of Jesus ought to be the most generous, loving and compassionate people on the planet. His teaching reflects this passion as he infuses transparent insights, warm humor and practical application into his leadership. New Song was founded on the premise that the gospel is good news and ought to be presented in a compelling and engaging form. 2009 marks the 20th year of the church’s existence. As a global Christian he is also heavily involved in international leadership development in Baja California, MX, and India. He married his high school sweetheart, Shirley, in 1975, and together they have three married children and five grandchildren.
In his 26 year career with Young Life, Don pursued his passion for teenagers, evangelism, speaking the Gospel and training volunteers. (OK, and he learned some pretty funny skits along the way…) Now God has given him the opportunity to exercise those same passions with the people of Wenatchee via the ministries of New Song. Don believes that following Jesus should result in a vibrant, abundant and exciting life, full of the hope and the grace necessary to meet the challenges the world deals us. Don loves to tell stories and to hear the stories of others.
Don is married to Heidi, has three kids and six grandkids, all who live here in Wenatchee. He is a new convert to the world of hockey, serving as the chaplain for the Wenatchee Wild Hockey Team, and attempts to play golf.
God gave Jackie a passion for kids first as a mom, then a daycare worker, then an early childhood education teacher. She earned her Associate Degree in ECE at Wenatchee Valley College, and has taught many years at local preschools. “Kids are my passion,” Jackie says. “They teach me the importance of this field.”
Brad the husband of (worship-leader) Sarah and father of Sunny and Coral. Brad’s passions include running, small groups, deepening our knowledge of God, and ecclesiology (how we do church).
Marie first attended New Song seventeen years ago, when she was in high school and seeking a safe, down to earth church where she could nurture and grow her relationship with Christ. She has served on a variety of ministry teams and participated in numerous New Song events, but the most memorable activity she ever participated in at New Song was the 2004 (losing) softball team where she met her husband Ted and his 4 year old son Alan. Ted asked her out after their last game and they’ve been on a winning streak since then with a wedding in 2005, the addition of Maya in 2006, Luca in 2010 and Cocoa Bean (the cat) in 2012. Marie and Ted have served in a variety of positions on worship teams throughout their marriage. Marie is currently serving as a sound technician and Ted leads and plays guitar which allows them many opportunities to practice their communication. Marie is a facilitator and social worker with Children’s Administration of Washington State, Ted is an instructional technician at Wenatchee Valley College’s Music and Arts Center and a private guitar instructor, Alan is a brilliant artist, Maya is a competitive gymnast and Luca is a budding musician.
